Chat with Your PDF

Upload a PDF file and ask questions about its content using AI

Supported format: PDF (max 10MB)

What is Chat with PDF?

Chat with PDF is an AI-powered feature that lets you ask natural language questions about the content of any PDF document and receive accurate, context-aware answers. Instead of reading through long documents manually, you upload the PDF and interact with an AI assistant that has read and understood the entire file. PDFLE uses large language model (LLM) technology to analyze PDF text and generate answers in real time.

How to chat with a PDF — step by step

  1. Upload your PDF — click "Choose PDF File" and select a document up to 10 MB. PDFLE processes the text from all pages.
  2. Wait for indexing — the AI reads the document. You will see a confirmation message when the PDF is ready for questions.
  3. Ask a question — type any question about the document content in the chat input, or use a suggested question to get started quickly.
  4. Read the AI response — answers stream in real time. Ask follow-up questions to drill deeper into specific sections.

What can you ask the PDF AI?

  • "What is this document about?" — get an instant executive summary
  • "What are the key findings?" — extract conclusions from research reports or studies
  • "What does section 3 say about X?" — navigate large documents without scrolling
  • "List all dates mentioned in the contract" — extract structured data from legal documents
  • "Explain the methodology in simple terms" — simplify technical or academic content
  • "What actions are required by the deadline?" — identify action items from meeting notes

Chat with PDF works best on text-based PDFs. Scanned image-only PDFs require OCR pre-processing to extract readable text. Supported file size: up to 10 MB per session.
